SAP Enterprise Architect
About Luzid
Luzid is the intelligent layer between how enterprises operate and the software that runs them. We give system integrators and enterprise architects AI agents that automate the most complex, expensive, and error-prone work in enterprise software delivery: capturing requirements, flagging risks, generating documentation, configuring systems, and running tests; end to end, from pre-sales through go-live.
We are a team of AI experts and ERP veterans from Stanford, SAP, Two Sigma, Microsoft, Meta, and Uber. In 11 months of operations, we've built a multi-million dollar pipeline and are already partnered with some of the world's largest global consulting firms.
About the Opportunity
Every enterprise runs on business processes: how they fulfill orders, procure materials, close books, manage supply chains. These processes get mapped during ERP implementations, then immediately start drifting. People leave. Documentation goes stale. The reasoning behind critical decisions disappears into tribal memory.
The result: a recurring, multi-million-dollar rediscovery effort every time a business needs to change, whether responding to new regulations, absorbing an acquisition, extending its systems, or optimizing workflows.
Over 75% of enterprise software implementations run over budget or over time. The global ERP services market is worth $250 billion annually. Agentic AI is about to restructure how all of that work gets done, and no tool is built for that transition yet.
The Role
We're looking for an Enterprise Architect who has spent a career inside large, multi-application enterprise landscapes and now wants to encode that judgment into a product rather than deliver it one client at a time.
You'll own the reference architecture that defines how our platform understands, connects to, and reasons about customer environments: SAP S/4HANA, Workday, Salesforce, WMS, MES/PLC layers, and the long tail of custom applications around them. You'll translate that understanding into product capability: data models, integration patterns, agent tooling, and MCP-based interfaces to enterprise systems.
This is a hands-on architecture role with strong product influence. You'll split your time roughly between customer-facing architecture work and internal product definition, reporting to the CTO / VP Product.
What You'll Do
- Own the enterprise reference architecture: the canonical model for how Luzid represents customer landscapes across ERP, HCM, CRM, supply chain, and shop-floor systems.
- Design solution architecture for complex environments spanning 5 to 20+ integrated applications, including greenfield S/4HANA implementations, brownfield conversions, and post-merger landscape consolidation.
- Define the AI layer: how inference is applied to enterprise artifacts (configuration extraction, test generation, impact analysis, functional documentation), including model selection, context and retrieval strategy, evaluation criteria, and the guardrails that make output trustworthy.
- Architect and govern MCP integrations and tool interfaces that let agents read from and act on SAP, Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, WMS, and MES systems safely, with attention to authorization, auditability, and blast radius.
- Bridge product and engineering: turn architectural insight into roadmap, write the specs, define acceptance criteria, and pressure-test what we build against real client landscapes.
- Be the technical authority in front of customers and partners, leading architecture workshops, design reviews, and executive conversations with CIOs, transformation leads, and SI delivery partners.
- Set standards and govern: integration patterns, non-functional requirements, security and data-residency posture, and architecture decision records that scale beyond you.
- Mentor solution consultants, engineers, and delivery teams, raising the architectural bar across the company.
What You Bring
- 15+ years in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or enterprise application delivery.
- Deep SAP S/4HANA expertise across implementations, migrations, or conversions, with a strong grasp of core modules, extensibility models (BTP, CAP, RAP, side-by-side vs. in-app), and integration surfaces (IDoc, BAPI, OData, CPI/Integration Suite, Datasphere).
- Breadth across the enterprise stack, with hands-on architecture exposure to several of: Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Oracle, warehouse management systems (SAP EWM, Manhattan, Blue Yonder), MES and PLC/OT layers (ISA-95, OPC UA, historians), and bespoke applications.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-application landscape architecture; you've designed the seams, not just the systems.
- Applied AI fluency: practical experience with LLM inference in production or near-production settings, including prompt and context engineering, RAG, agentic workflows, evaluation and regression testing of non-deterministic output, and cost/latency tradeoffs across model tiers.
- Working knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) or equivalent agent-tool integration frameworks, and a clear point of view on how agents should safely touch systems of record.
- Experience in a product organization: writing specs, owning roadmap tradeoffs, and shipping software to many customers rather than one.
- Experience at a global systems integrator (Accenture, Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, IBM, Cognizant, Wipro, PwC, or equivalent), with exposure to large-program delivery methodology, estimation, and multi-vendor governance.
- Integration and data architecture depth: APIs, event-driven patterns, iPaaS, master data, and canonical modeling across heterogeneous systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; you can hold a whiteboard with a skeptical CIO and write a crisp spec the same afternoon.
Strong Candidates May Also Have
- The combination we value most: a product company plus a global SI, in either order.
- Domain depth in manufacturing, CPG, life sciences, retail, or logistics.
- Familiarity with SAP Activate, Signavio, Tricentis, Worksoft, or comparable ALM and test tooling.
- TOGAF, SAP Certified Solution Architect, or equivalent credentials.
- Cloud architecture at scale (AWS, Azure, GCP), including security, identity, and multi-tenancy.
- Prior work at an early-stage company and comfort operating without a large support structure.
- Experience with enterprise compliance regimes (SOX, GxP, GDPR) as they constrain architecture.
What Success Looks Like
- First 90 days — you've mapped our current architecture against three real customer landscapes and produced a gap analysis the team agrees with.
- Six months — the reference architecture is published, adopted, and governing real build decisions, with at least one major integration or agent capability shipped under your design.
- Twelve months — prospects and SI partners cite our architecture as a reason to choose us, and new landscape types can be onboarded in a fraction of the time it takes today.
Why Join Luzid
- Small team, real scope: your architecture decisions become the product, not a slide deck that gets archived.
- A rare problem space: the depth of enterprise systems combined with genuine frontier AI work.
- Direct access to founders and to customers.
- Competitive compensation with meaningful equity.
