Founding Product Designer
About Luzid
Luzid is the intelligent layer between how enterprises operate and the software that runs them. We give system integrators and enterprise architects AI agents that automate the most complex, expensive, and error-prone work in enterprise software delivery: capturing requirements, flagging risks, generating documentation, configuring systems, and running tests; end to end, from pre-sales through go-live.
We are a team of AI experts and ERP veterans from Stanford, SAP, Two Sigma, Microsoft, Meta, and Uber. In 11 months of operations, we've built a multi-million dollar pipeline and are already partnered with some of the world's largest global consulting firms.
About the Opportunity
Every enterprise runs on business processes: how they fulfill orders, procure materials, close books, manage supply chains. These processes get mapped during ERP implementations, then immediately start drifting. People leave. Documentation goes stale. The reasoning behind critical decisions disappears into tribal memory.
The result: a recurring, multi-million-dollar rediscovery effort every time a business needs to change, whether responding to new regulations, absorbing an acquisition, extending its systems, or optimizing workflows.
Over 75% of enterprise software implementations run over budget or over time. The global ERP services market is worth $250 billion annually. Agentic AI is about to restructure how all of that work gets done, and no tool is built for that transition yet.
About the Role
We're looking for our Founding Product Designer, the first dedicated designer at Luzid, working directly alongside our founders and engineers to define what the product looks like, feels like, and how it earns trust.
This is the hard, interesting version of the job. Enterprise software has a deserved reputation for being dense, ugly, and impenetrable. You'll be designing in that world, but for a product that has to do the opposite: make agentic AI legible and trustworthy to consultants running multi-million-dollar implementations under real deadline pressure. They need to understand what an agent did, why it did it, where it might be wrong, and when to step in. Getting that right is a design problem before it's anything else.
You won't inherit a system, a brand, or a set of patterns. You'll create them. You'll own the entire surface, from the core product to the design system to the way we show up to the market, and you'll set the bar for craft that everyone who comes after you builds against.
What You'll Do
- Own product design end to end: research, interaction design, visual design, and shipped, polished UI
- Invent the interaction patterns for agentic workflows, how users follow what an agent is doing, review its work, intervene, and build trust over time
- Establish Luzid's design system, component library, and visual language from scratch, and keep it coherent as the product grows
- Sit with customers and watch real consultants use the product in the field, then turn that friction into clearer software
- Partner tightly with engineering to ship, prototyping in whatever medium gets to the answer fastest, including code where it helps
- Shape brand and marketing surfaces as needed, so the company reads as sharp and credible everywhere it shows up
- Set the craft bar for the design function and help us hire against it
You May Be a Good Fit If
- You have a portfolio of shipped product work you can speak to in depth, where the quality is obviously yours
- You own the whole arc from ambiguous problem to research to polished, shipped pixels, without waiting to be handed a spec
- You combine genuine systems thinking with high craft, and you're not willing to trade one for the other
- You're comfortable talking to customers, extracting what actually matters from what they say, and turning it into design
- Ambiguity energizes you and you treat a missing playbook as an opportunity, not a liability
Strong Candidates May Also Have
- Experience designing for AI or agentic products, where you had to make non-deterministic behavior understandable and trustworthy
- Experience with complex, data-dense enterprise or developer tools, where clarity under complexity is the whole game
- The ability to build what you design (React, Tailwind) and ship it yourself
- Range across brand and marketing design, not just product
